Outside the trading floor, our origination team creates long-term value by developing and negotiating corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs) and other tailored contracts. These specialists help structure and negotiate bespoke agreements that connect customers directly with our renewable assets – ensuring predictable pricing for businesses and lasting financial stability for Ørsted’s projects within e.g. offshore wind. It’s interesting and highly rewarding work!
Our quants collaborate closely with traders, risk managers, and developers to design, test, and implement robust models – from balancing models that optimise asset execution to forward-curve modelling engines that support contract pricing, hedging strategies, and new product launches.
Working with analytics in Trading & Revenue, you'll get the opportunity to apply your programming, statistical, and analytical skills directly to real-world trading strategies, guiding billion-euro decisions and helping advance the renewable energy transition.
In practice, this means staying on top of market risks and performing collateral assessments, stress tests, and scenario analyses. It also means providing expert guidance on credit terms, calculating and monitoring exposures, and ensuring compliance with internal mandates. The risk management team works closely with traders, originators, and external counterparties to optimise risk and safeguard Ørsted’s operations.

As part of our portfolio management team, you’ll shape the strategic direction of Ørsted’s portfolio and create hedging strategies to create long-term value. You’ll analyse market trends, assess risk and optionality, and provide insights that inform development, divestment, and strategic decision-making across the business.
As part of this team, you’ll have the opportunity to conceptualise, design, and deploy automated trading and systematic trading algorithms in European power markets – applying your skills to everything from intraday trading to developing proprietary strategies that create new value for Ørsted.
