USV Specialist

Join us in this role where you’ll, as an Uncrewed Surface Vessel specialist, be responsible for the full scope of Uncrewed Surface Vessel operations.
You’ll be collaborating with key technical and commercial stakeholders across the organisation, as well as external parties, to ensure a safe and efficient operation, with high degree of system reliability.
A large part of the job will be hands-on maintenance including small boat engines, hydraulics, electrical power system, communication and controls. The role also entails operating USV´s and it is a requirement that you either possess relevant certificates or are able to obtain them.

You’ll be part of the USV group where you, together with your colleagues, will be working at the forefront of a new offshore technology. You’ll be part of a growing team with broad competences spanning across measurement engineers, data scientists, and uncrewed vessel specialists. You’ll be partaking in commercial operations of our USV’s, providing essential data measurements for our offshore measurement campaigns in both metocean and geophysical. We have ongoing USV campaigns and planed campaigns globally that requires high uptime, meaning that 60-100 travel days per year are to be expected.

You’ll play an important role in:
- Planning and executing uncrewed vessel operations across global offshore wind farm campaigns, incl. permitting, contracting, monitoring, and control of uncrewed vessels
- Operation Service & Maintenance
- Managing internal and external stakeholders in relation to the design of uncrewed vessel solutions and continuous development activities
- Managing supplier and client contracts throughout your projects and ensuring that campaign objectives are successfully achieved.
To succeed in the role, you:
- Have a strong track record of working with offshore operations, preferably with experience from planning and operating uncrewed vessels, or similar marine operations
- Are perseverant and motivated by finding original solutions to challenges that aren’t always well defined, and implementing these solutions in a structured manner
- Have strong oral and written communication skills, with a keen focus on documentation and can engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Are self-driven and able to deliver results while working on several parallel workstreams across a complex matrix organisation
- Hold a relevant degree within ocean science, engineering, or an equivalent maritime degree (Maskinmester), or you have relevant offshore or field experience.
