Head of Group Revenue Risk
Imagine a future you will lead the way in establishing our department as a strong and independent 2nd line of defense for Revenue Risks spanning from commodity risks inherited in our renewable asset portfolio to commodities trading across our footprint in Northwestern Europe, North America and APAC

Join us in this role where you’ll have the unique opportunity to leverage your learnings from implementing 3 lines of defense in the financial or energy industry and where your leadership is crucial in driving a risk culture that supports Ørsted’s climate and sustainability ambitions. As a leader of leaders, you’ll have the opportunity to influence, shape and transform our risk management practices and frameworks. As a vital component of our independent risk management framework, you will be instrumental in challenging 1st line decision-making, providing expert risk insights, and ensuring robust monitoring and control of our risk landscape. You’ll play a crucial role in setting risk appetite and guidelines for our risk management strategies, establish structures for delegation to risk limits, monitoring and reporting risk exposures, and providing expert guidance on risk decisions. You’ll also be responsible for developing and optimizing 2nd lines risk models, reports, and processes within the teams, and fostering informal and trusting partnership with our broad base of stakeholders.

You’ll be part of the Group Risk Leadership team, with direct reference to the Head of Group Risk, and together with your team, you will work on complex and challenging tasks, giving you a good understanding of our business, energy markets, and company risk profile. We have made significant strides in the past year, successfully implementing a comprehensive risk assessment process, developing a sophisticated, holistic risk scenario model, and establishing a new Board of Directors anchored risk appetite. While we are committed to further strengthening and expanding our 2nd line capabilities, we possess a solid foundation of established processes to build upon.

You’ll play an important role in:
- Leading and mentoring a team of risk management leaders, ensuring their continuous development and alignment with the company’s strategic goals
- Designing and leading the continued implementation of the 2nd line risk organization for revenue risk
- Monitoring and reporting revenue risk exposures, ensuring transparency and adherence to the Group’s risk appetite
- Providing expert guidance on and challenge risk decisions and revenue management
- Facilitating a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing.
To succeed in the role, you:
- Have proven experience in leading leaders and developing high-performing teams, demonstrate strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Have extensive experience from 2nd line of defense role within market risk management or operational risk management
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple way
- Are comfortable raising concerns, challenging business decisions and being a partner and trusted advisor to your stakeholders
- Embrace working in a dynamic and ambitious work environment with the opportunity to influence our risk management
- Are a curious team player that values professionalism and fun and master the art of stakeholder management.
