User Experience Competency Center Leader

Join us in this role where you’ll lead a global, thriving, and motivated team of highly skilled specialists within the User Experience (UX) Area. The team consists of designers and researchers from three hubs: Copenhagen, Warsaw, and Kuala Lumpur. Together with Leaders from other Competency Centers (CC) you’ll participate in our leadership initiatives, drive the Global Competence Strategy development for UX in Ørsted and support talent development on a global level.

You’ll be part of the CC Leaders Community where you, together with your colleagues, will develop, maintain, and attract talent and support people’s growth within our matrix organization. You’ll be working with experienced leaders who deeply care about the work we do and the impact it has on the people and the world around us.

You’ll play an important role in:
- setting the direction and strategy for the UX competency in close collaboration with the Head of Product Design Center of Excellence and our DesignOps Lead
- helping the UX domain and its roles grow and evolve based on the needs of the business and our agile organizations
- being a safe base for your employees, by building an inclusive team environment based on mutual trust and support
- fostering a global team environment, where you feel a true sense of belonging no matter your background and geographical placement
- helping your employees develop within the broad field of UX and reach their full potential through coaching and mentoring
- inspiring others to deliver results sustainably, acknowledging that we all need to find a healthy work-life balance.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have the capability to hire, lead, coach, develop, and inspire employees with a strong focus on growth and collaboration
- demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and deliver results within a matrix organisation, ensuring collaboration and trust across teams
- have global people leadership experience, ideally from leading highly specialised employees from different cultural and professional backgrounds
- have strong experience from the UX domain and a solid understanding of the full design process from early research and discovery to final delivery
- are a remarkable networker with highly developed stakeholder management skills
- have knowledge and understanding of what it’s like to work with digital product development as a UX professional in a large enterprise setup with agile frameworks, interacting and collaborating with other agile roles.
